Automatically shifting notes across measures or entire score

I am new to Musescore and scoring music. Have been looking through the handbook for some function that will shift the entire score (or some selected portion) when inserting or deleting notes/rests. Similar to what is done when using the Insert method of note entry, but instead of adding additional notes within a measure and increasing the overall duration of the measure (or decreasing duration if deleting) I would like the entire score to adjust. So, for example, say there is a 4/4 piece of ten measures with the third measure having a half note and a half rest. I would like to be able to change the duration of the note or rest in that measure and have Musescore adjust the rest of the score (or selected measures), recounting and adjusting the subsequent measures as needed.
