Channel changes after adding a channel change text is not synced between part and score
Special steps to reproduce:
1. Create a score with for example Trombone
2. Add few notes
3. Add new single part for trombone (order is important, if done later, situation is different)
4. From main part: Add custom staff text (CTRL-T) to first note. For instance Cup Mute
5. Change Staff Text properties to switch to mute channel for voices 1,2,3,4
6. Switch over to part Trombone.
7. Inspect the staff text properties. They are unchanged (still open channel).
Also the reverse does not sync back. When changing staff text properties on the part it is not synced back to the main part. Only channel switches from main part are used.
Workaround is to set staff text properties on both central and trombone part. Other workaround is to add trombone part later (after changing the staff text properties)

This might well by by design (these playback details being considered 'layout' rather than 'content'). And the workarounds being the actual fixes.
Although with the 'starndard' channel switching texts from the palette it doesn't do that. Unless you modify those after having added them.
That however shows another workaround: create such a test, along with the modifications and add it to the palette, then use that to add it to your scores

Thanks for the prompt response and suggestion, that works pretty well as well. As there are many workaround, it is an issue I can easily live with.
I do not think it falls under the category "as design", since the functionality works differently if done in different ways (such as via pallette). I therefore ended up with a part where parts were played muted correctly and parts were not. I was at first puzzled on how this happened, and couldn't find/fix it since I was using the specific part to edit rather than the main part.
Well, no, even of applied via palette, changing it after having added it is not synced. And it is that part that is by design currently
