Cannot change tempo via score tempo marking or slider
When I try to change the tempo with the slider in the play panel, it always snaps back to exactly 120 BPM. The same happens when I write the BPM value in the input field.
When I add a tempo marking (tempo text) to my score, the play panel will adjust the slider such that BPM is always fixed at 120 BPM.
For example, if I add a tempo marking of 240 beats, it would fix the slider at 50%.
Is this a bug or just a hidden and unexpected setting?

There's a number missing at the revision, so that is probably not the AppImage version from this site here but a version from the Manjaro repo, which in turn is not supported here

From your answer I would conclude, that this is indeed unintended behavior and not caused by any hidden configuration, right?

I don't know where you read that

Ah, ok, so what I described is normal MuseScore behavior? Is it documented? I cannot find anything here: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/tempo

That's not what I wrote either.
But see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/tempo
Any chance you have Jack enabled and it is acting as the timing/tempo master?

You are probably right, I disconnected my external audio hardware and restarted jack. Now it works.
Thank you.
