Rests being created
I am making a piece with multiple instruments. I have finished percussion, but whenever I add a note to any other intruments bar, it auto adds rests to the percussion so they don't sync up. Why is it doing this?

It's hard to say without seeing the score, but my guess is, you enabled the special-purpose "insert" mode rather than entering the notes normally. This would indeed, as the name suggests, "insert" notes and thus extra beats. It's meant only for music where you 8want* extra beats in each measure.c
