Paste Without Lyrics
I am fairly new to Musescore and am using version 3. I am composing a song as a solo but want to copy the notes into the piano lines. When I copy the notes with ctrl-c it highlights both the notes and the lyrics for the solo parts. Then when I paste (ctrl-v) it puts the lyrics in with the piano system. How do I copy just the notes without the lyrics? I have seen mention of using the filter F6 but I don't know how to use that or any other filter.
Does anyone have any suggestions and or explinations as to a way to accomplish this task?

Use the selection filter and deselect the lyrics

This does not work. I want to paste measures without lyrics over measures with lyrics and keep the lyrics. The lyrics are removed with the paste, every time, regardless of the selection filter.
