Voice ranges
I'm transcribing 55 Scottish ballads, all in treble clef. However, the voice ranges from boy soprano to alto. If I simply choose Voice, everything sounds like it plays right, but some notes on the top and bottom brown out.
Will I get better quality MP3s if I choose the correct range? Or are the brownouts only an indication that the notes are out of range for Voice?

The ranges do not affect playback, only which notes are flagged as out of range. The sound will be the same no matter what you set the range to.
