MuseScore 4 and the VST list in the Mixer

OS: MacOS Monterey

How does MuseScore build the VST list in the mixer? I installed the Kontakt player but decided I didn’t need it. But I can’t seem to get MuseScore to let it go. Native Instruments -> Kontakt still appears in the list.
