Multi-Bar Rests
Having searched high and low, I cannot find out how to create multi-bar rests.
Anyone help please?

Pressing "M" will do the job, but is needed only if you are entering a single part separate from the rest of the score. If you enter the score then generate the part from that, the multimeasure rests are created automatically.
BTW, best place to look for help is the online Handbook, which you can access form the Help menu within MuseScore or the Support menu on this site. Then just search the table of contents for the word "rest" and you'll find the relevant page.
