Strange horizontal line to delete - appeared after pasting piano part in from separate file
Does anyone know what this line is and how to get rid of it? It runs horizontally through the entire section (51 bars) which was pasted into the treble and bass clef for piano from a second Musescore file. Any help is appreciated.
TIA

The best way is to attache the score itself instead of an image for better assistance (with pointing to the corresponding measures).
Looks like part of a volta. Click on it and check the inspector.
Perhaps an extension of the last syllable in the Vocal part?
Ps: click on it and hit delete. :)

I tried clicking/selecting the line and could not do so. My work around was finally to just start over with a new file. Maybe this one was corrupted, because when I repeated the steps in a new file, the line did not appear. Thanks for offering help, everyone.

Maybe you can click/select the line when you switch to Continuous View instead of Page View?

Great idea! I will try that if this happens again.

Almost certainly it was a melisma extension line from the previous lyric syllable, so you'd need to find that syllable and delete it. And as mentioned, in the future, if you attach your actual score instead of just a picture, we can understand and assist much better!
