copy and paste a multi meter score

currently, if i want to take a section of a piece that has multi meters i cannot "copy and paste" those measures without losing the mutli meter time signature formatting — which means i have to reconstruct the entire time signature groupings. Is there a way to copy the template of a multi meter score without doing this reconstruction each time?
