Where does musescore 4 look for vst3 files?
Musescore 4 does not locate all of the vst3s that I have installed. It only locates some plugins I have from Kontakt, Eastwest, and Plugin Alliance. However I have many more vst3i plugins such as BBC symphonic orchestra, Labs, Ozone 9 Elements, etc. which do not show up. How do I add those if that is possible, or why would they not be showing? Where does musescore look path-wise for vst3 files? Thanks!

It looks in the default VST3 directory (
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3on Windows;~/.vst3/,/usr/lib/vst3/and/usr/local/lib/vst3/on *nix).In addition to that you can configure additional user locations in Edit → Preferences → General → Folders → VST3
