Reformatting a chart, Lyric lines
In the attached chart, I restructured it to be played with out a DS al Fine.
So I copied the A section and pasted in as an added/new C section.
-What would be the quickest and easiest way in the A section to erase the last verse of lyrics?
-What would be the quickest and easiest way in the new C section to erase the first two verses of lyrics and just keep the 3rd verse in its proper place just below the staff?
If you look at the piano part in the sketch score it will be clear I believe.

Select range
Right-click a lyric
Select > More
check "same verse" and within selection
Delete
For section C; first select the 3rd verse and then use the inspector to change it to verse 1.

I can't seem to be able to get it to work.
I get lyrics selected
Go to MORE
but don't see a way to delete verse 3.

After you've checked same verse for a verse3 lyric and OK out of the dialog, you just press the Delete key on your keyboard to.. well.. delete ;-)
