V4 ate my homework.
Hi everyone,
I was excited to learn that version 4 had been released. I found that I needed to upgrade from Windows 10 version 1909. I was told that it is best to wait to get a notice that my computer is ready and eligible for upgrade, but of course, in my typical impatience, I found that there is a way to force it to upgrade. I did so. Now I have Windows version 22H2. The download and installation of MuseScore 4.0 went perfectly, and I have been learning the improvement and differences. But there is something wrong with the playback. It has hiccups and stutters and scratches like a broken record (he said, dating himself shamelessly), so I had to quit and go back to work on a recent new work on version 3. I will try to see if my computer's audio needs updating or something. But in the meantime, I cannot load my piece on version 3! Is there a workaround for this?

Export as Musicxml.

Dear Shoichi,
You have helped me several times, so I remember your username. I appreciate this advice. Sometimes, the answer should be obvious, but one can't see it for himself. So again, thank you very much!

Just to follow up, Shoichi, this worked almost perfectly. The only problem was that it added a great many line breaks, system breaks, etc., for no reason. As soon as I deleted them (super easy), the score was exactly as it had been before.
Cheers,
L

During MusicXML export you can choose which line breaks to include (none, only manually added ones or all of them).
