Impossible to assign a shortcut to shift+number

Try to assign a shortcut to shift+any number. For instance, shift+1

The shortcut now is displayed as '!' (since that is what shift+1 writes when text editing)

In addition, the shortcut doesnt even work now. Shift+1 doesn't do anything.

This is true of all the numbers. I havent tested it for shift+something else.
