Same for me.
My first try adding "Dirty Tape" from Softube lead to the same problem. It's possible to deactivate / bypass the plugin but actually it's not possible to remove it from the score.
This is not the case with the musescore plugins.
FYI: Musescore keeps chrashing on selecting "Waves"/"WaveShell1-VST3 12" or "WaveShell1-VST3 14". But this is another story.
