Cue notes destroy rests--solution unclear
I've successfully added cue note to a score for a trio, but, it destroyed the rests on the main score. I found the following direction:
To prevent MuseScore from automatically removing rests when adding cue notes, you need to adjust the "Create multimeasure rests" setting in your score style: Go to "Format" > "Style" > "Score" and untick the "Create multimeasure rests" option; this will ensure that rests remain visible even when adding cue notes in empty measures.
However, I cannot find "Create multimeasure rests" when I go to: "Format" > "Style" > "Score"
If this solution exists, is there a way to have it work retroactively? Converting the cue to notes to a separate voice (another solution), leads to a mess of rest placement issues.

Can you post the score?
Can you say what you mean by "destroyed" the rests?
Where did you find that advice? It would be helpful if you could provide the link and then someone can take a look and see if the Handbook is giving bad advice and then fix it or if you have ben following old or unofficial advice.

It's rarely useful to post an image. Usually not much we can do with one to help in most problems.
This case is the exception that proves the rule :-) Look at Working with multiple voices. Put the cue notes in Voice 2.

Any thoughts?
