Process remains in memory taking up core. Cannot remove; even TASKKILL /IM "MuseScore4.exe" /F does not work.
When opening multiple score, multiple instances of MuseScore4 will remain in memory.
Solution: Reboot computer

This happens every time for me as well, so I have to stick with v3. Some searching online (https://superuser.com/questions/121959/why-sometimes-windows-cannot-kil…) suggests that this is related to being attached to a debugger, and to corroborate this, I've noticed that each time this occurs, an instance of crashpad_handler is also left behind in Task Manager (though it can be killed).
This issue tracker here has been discontinued so better report on GitHub
