Inside a single vertical frame, add two separate texts with the same text properties, e.g. poet and composer. Both are bottom aligned.
The baseline position is different if the text has a character with descender, in this case the descender line is used for vertical alignment.
Expected: It should be possible that two such texts use the same line for vertical alignment, either the typographical baseline or the descender. From Wikipedia:

Confrimed, but the case since long

I tried to improve the text… especially since this problem is around for so long. Thanks a lot for clarifying this.
It bothered me since long, but I was to lazy to report it.

Due to my personal history starting with DTP in the 1980s I simply cannot ignore it. And because I am working in the software industry, I know that unreported things will never be fixed, and we would never know if it might be a low-hanging fruit. Fingers crossed.
Still so far it is just the two of us 🙂
Jojo,
make that at least three by now (https://musescore.org/en/node/342768 - I hope that works). Since it's so easy and quick to work around, if spotted. it would have to be extremely low hanging fruit indeed ;o)
Three is still few

Apparently a 3.x regression
The natural choice of using baseline alignment doesn't help here, places the texts way too high
