How? Menu->View->Full screen? (Crl+U doesn't work for me). Do you mean this (attachement)? No this is not full screen. Word, Chrome, Adobe Reader, Firefox... these programs have real full screen.

Yes, that's full screen, including the menu bar and toolbars
