Is there a way to take a score someone else made and edit out instruments/parts?

I'm trying to take a score someone else made and uploaded, and remove some of the parts from the full score so that it's easier to read. I've tried uploading the pdf of the score to the website but it said it failed and I can't find any other ways to remove the parts without manually going in and rewriting all the parts. Is there a way I can edit the score and remove the parts I don't want or am I going to have to rewrite all the parts on my own score except for the ones I don't need?
