Musescore 4 issues
Opening musescore 3.6.2 files with 4.0 has issues:
1. with beam construction.
Is the beam issue being worked on?
2. adjusting the tempo, and selecting the beginning of the score either using rewind or selecting the beginning note does not work. Score is confused and playing in a random measure.
3. Where is the metronome count-in used in 3.6.2?

Thanks. OK, compared to that in Mu4 it really is a holy mess.
Best open an issue for this on GitHub

ok thanks JoJo.
I'll just keep using 3.6.2 until 4.0 settles out. Just to many issues and I really don't think its ready for prime time yet. But I'm sure developers are working hard at it. Major upgrades like this is not easy to pull off.
The 4.x one may show the problem, but there's no comparision to how it should look / did look in 3.x
Why did ypu remove the image?

I opened your score in MS3 and saved as mxl. I opened that in MS4 and everything looked OK.
The beam issue will be fixed by https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/pull/15383 :
This will be surely be in 4.1; I can't say at this stage whether that'll make it into 4.0.x (but there's a good argument for doing so...)
I created a score in Musescore4 and saved it in Musescore4>Score folder. When I tried to open the score, Musescore3 appeared instead of Musescore4 and I got an error message - Can't open the file, Load the latest version Musescore4.

There are some odd things happening. For now you might need to right-click a score (even in the MS4 folder) and open with MS4.
Mark informed me to do this and work perfectly:
cntrl/A (selects all measures), cntrl/R. (reset the shapes and positions)
thankx Mark
I've been a fan / user of Musecore for a couple of years, and had no problems with the Version 3.xxx series. I switched to Version 4.0, then 4.01 and have had nothing but problems ever since. I often have days when the executable won't load, and even after uploading the 4.01 program again, nada. Hopefully the bugs in the 4.01 version will be resolved sooner than later.
I've tried to make version 4 work and finally gave up. Now back to 3.6. I'll try version 4 again in a few months and hope it works.

Hopefully you submitted bug reports with scores and precise steps to reproduce the problems you experience. Develoeprs can't fix problems that are never reported.
