Playback/Tuning/Appearance UI still bugged in 4.0.1

Note that the playback UI is still bugged in 4.0.1. This has happened to many users.

It was never even addressed in the issue tracker... thank you very much, uncaring (also unpaid so can't say much) staff members :(
