When I prepare guitar scores using both note set 1 and 2 the tab for base notes (2) does not align with the melody notes (1). This makes writing and playing very difficult.
Most of my workarounds suck!!!

In order to understand and assist, we would need you to attach the score you are having trouble with and give precise steps to reproduce the problem.
Per my prior comment, here is an example where voice 2 tab doesn't align with Voice 1 tab.
I put together a simple demo to show you the issue. It occurs when I use "full" tab.
I've also got this problem. I checked github but couldn't find anything reported there so I thought I continue here. Steps to reproduce: Start new score git+tab. Enter some notes. Change instrument for tab to 6-str full. Change back to 6-str simple. I attached a picture with before and after. Workaround is to save, close and open score again.
The problem seems to be solved now with the recently updated Musescore-4.
I'm on Linux using MuseScore-4.0.2.230651545-x86_64.AppImage
