Ability to delete all notes but keep chord notation

When tryng to find the best singing key for my song - I delete the melody line after I write it and then add in the chord symboils and transpose successively until I find the sweet spot as I sing. Would be nice if I could just blank out the melody. Probably could create the chords as a seperate voice but I'm not that advanced.
