This might be a silly question but i can't understand what the nighly version
MuseScoreNightly-230860506-4.0.2-a45b9a5-x86_64.7z
or
MuseScoreNightly-230860304-master-9037421-x86_64.7z
the name is always the same for 4.0.2, for me there has been no change for several days.
if nightly is master, for me this version has been crashing for several days
am i wrong if i say:
MuseScoreNightly-latest-x86_64.7z 2023-03-27 05:31 = MuseScoreNightly-230860506-4.0.2-a45b9a5-x86_64.7z (4.0.2)
Thank's for the help
Robert

No, you are correct :)
At least you are until the next nightly build is created.
latest
always points to the most recent one.230860506
is a timestamp. It means year2023
, day-of-year086
, time05:06
UTC.(We can't fit a month number and a day-of-month number for technical reasons, hence the use of day-of-year. If you're curious, the reason is that the timestamp must fit in a 32-bit integer as required by the Wix packaging tool on Windows.)
The
master
build is where new features arrive. These builds change on a daily basis.Versioned builds like
4.0.2
are where you might see a small emergency fix if one becomes necessary, but for the most part those builds are not expected to change. In reply to > am i wrong if i say: >… by shoogle
Good evening,
Thank you, so I have to be careful to load the master version and not the latest version which is often 4.0.2.
Thank you so much again

From today, there is a different "latest" nightly for each branch:
