Something went wrong while the file was being saved. i extracted the attached file. I don't know how much of your work has been retrieved.
What I did:
Renamed the file to a,zip
Used the ubuntu command-line zip tool to attempt repair:
zip -FF a.zip --output b.zip
Tried opening b.zip (after renaming to b.mscz) in MuseScore- no joy
Opened b.zip in Ark (a zip/unzip program) and extracted the .MSCX file
This doesn't always work but seems to have on this occasion.
Now, if anyone else asks for a file to be fixed, try the above (substitute appropriate programs if you use Windows or Mac).

On Windows I simply opened the mscz file with 7-zip and extracted the mscx. I didn't find any errors.
I opened the mscx with MuS 3.6.2, this works, and the file seems (!) to be complete.

So, an error while the file is being compressed and saved?

Yes, it seems to be so.
7-zip says: Unexpected end of file.
But the extraction delivers all files; I am not sure if they are all error free. At least the mscx was o.k.

Looks like some of these files that won't open in MuscScore but which contain a retrievable MSCX file are missing the last 300 or so bytes of the containing MSCZ file. There should be a start and end XML entry I think. (There should be other stuff too but I haven't read hexadecimal directly since programming the Apple][ pre-1980).
