insert empty bars (for other instruments' solo sections)
I cannot see how to insert a number of empty bars, showing where (for example) my instrument stays silent while other instruments play a solo part. Any suggestions? Would this be a new feature?

If you are notating a score for an ensemble of instruments (which includes your instrument), then leave the bars blank where your instrument is silent. Enter notes only into the bars for the other instruments that are playing. When you are done, generate your part.

If you are notating strictly for your instrument, leave the bars blank where other instruments play. Then, when you are done, if you wish to display multimeasure rests (where your instrument remains silent), press M.
