Which multi instrument midi module for Musescore 3

• May 14, 2023 - 23:58

I would like to play my Musescore 3 compositions
from my computer to a midi type sound module (and amp)
via midi.
I would like for module to be able to play
different multiple instruments and drums at the same time
from its own instrument library.
But i do not know what I need to buy.
Can anyone give me some suggestions that I can research?
Thank you.

Is there a reason you feel you need to buy anything? No devices you'd be able to buy will sound nearly as good as Muse Score 4; most won't even be able to sound as good as MuseScore 3.

I was under the (false?) impression
that modern midi synthesizers, workstations, or sound boxes etc,
that they could literally put you in the
middle of an orchestra.
I would have liked to control reverb, echo, vibrato etc
on individual instruments via Musescore.
Don't know if that is possible.
I currently use Musescore 3.
Thanks.

Yes, modern synthesizers can do a remarkably good job of simulating real instruments - just as MuseScore can. MsueScore 3 is considerably more limited in that abillty. MuseScore 4 with its Msue Sounds as well as VST support will sound much better than any MIDI synthesizer you'd be likely to find for under $10,000.

Thank you.
I do have Musescore 4 but ran into many issues
so i went back to Musescore 3.
But I think I will go back to Musescore 4
and try to solve issues.
I will open a different thread for any questions
on any upcoming Musescore 4 issues as I encounter them.
Thank you for the great information!
And for this awesome program!
