Solo Guitar compostion
: I am trying to enter whole notes and sometimes dotted half notes (usually bass notes) to be held for certain lengths and also enter quarter or eighth notes to be played above the bass notes thru the duration of bass note. How do I enter that type of notation? When I try the notes default.
Also I need to enter a double note (same pitch on 2 different strings) i.e., B on open 2nd string and B on 4th fret 3rd string. How can that be achieved when entering notation?

To enter notes of different durations which are played simultaneously, use voices.
