change sound of note

I want to create a sheet for the snare drum and use a notation, where the lower note is done with the left stick and the upper ones with the right side stick. So my idea was to edit the snare drum, copy the normal snare note on a lower line. The big problem I have is there is no sound connected to it, and there is no field with a soundfile or something. I do not have a keyboard to connect to my pc and that is the only method that is explained here. All Iwant to do is to copy the sound.
