Printed scores and parts from pdfs
An orchestra librarian has told me that orchestras prefer not to print score and parts from PDFs, that they prefer actual score and parts to be provided to them by the composer. Is this true?

If they are paying sufficiently for the music, then customer is always right.
If they are getting it free then they can't complain too much if the composer doesn't shell out on paper and ink in addition to providing their creative genius.
