MuseScore 4.0 Optimization Issue

I am running Muse 4.0 on an Asus Sonic Master F512D, which has a Ryzen 7 3700U CPU (roughly equivalent to an 8th gen i7) and still get a lot of tearing in playback when moving through notes with the arrow keys. I also have to start general playback a measure before the part I want to hear due to tearing when playback starts. Is this something everyone is dealing with right now? Is there an issue with this specific CPU? Is there anything I can do, or try, to resolve this issue?
