Menu bug?
I am experiencing the following thing and I would like to know what causes it. All of MuseScore's menus are unresponsive, clicking on the main menu for example doesn't open it. Context menus are also not available. Shortcuts like Ctrl-O, Ctrl-S work as expected.
Using Build 9133473 | Ubuntu 14.10 | Qt-5.3.2-gcc_64

Do you have a modal dialog open but hidden behind the main window, perhaps? Although that would generally cause shortcuts to not work either. Do other things work - like say, note entry?
Was this working for you at one point then stopped recently? Does the problem persist if you close MuseScore and re-open? Is this a self-built version of MuseScore?
Hello Marc, thanks for your reply.
I have compiled the current github build myself, however the same problem occurs with the current nightly build for Linux (while Windows nightly started via wine is ok).
I can navigate through the main menu by activating it with a click and using the arrow and return keys blindly. The same works for context menus. Unfortunately, the menus are not displayed. Restarting Musescore does not have an effect either.
Summarizing, everything works as expected while all menus are not displayed.
Thanks for your reply!
Another small addition: The invisibly opened menus are even (blindly) usable with the mouse cursor!
I suppose this is rather a Qt problem or some other dependency causing this bug and not MuseScore's fault?
The picture attached shows the 'Layout' menu item not opening after having been clicked.
Thanks for your reply!
Seems to have been caused by some unstable Gnome 3.14. package. Problem solved by reverting to Gnome 3.12.
