blank special charakters

Recently, I was looking for a certain type of arrow (Picture 1). Whilst searching, I realized that under staff text --> special characters --> unicode symbols --> arrows, a lot of the depicted arrows are blank. However, when I select a blank square, it still types the specified arrow that should be there. I just can't see what it will type, until I've pressed the blank square, which makes searching for a certain arrow take a lot longer (I have to type every arrow and then look what got typed), as you can see in picture 2 with 3 examples.

I tried restarting my computer, but that changed nothing. I double-checked to make sure Iv'e got the latest version of MuseScore (4.0.2) and I made sure dark mode is off, but the problem is still persisting.

I also just noticed that other categories of the special characters seem to have the same problem for me (Picture 4). Some categories are totally blank (Picture 5)

I'm using macOS Monterey version 12.6.4

Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem? Any ideas as to how I might be able to fix it, or is it simply a bug? Would appreciate any help or advice.
