Pickup measure on every line
Dear Forumers,
I am trying to transcribe a 4/4 score that has 5 measures on every line BUT the first measure of every line is a pickup measure with one quarter note. The last measure on every line is only 3/4 (a dotted half note in each measure).
I am pulling my hair out trying to do this without success.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this please.
Kind regards and thank you.

1/4 + 3/4 is 4/4, so you can just split 1 measure (I'm not on my PC right now but search for "split measure") every 4 ones, and add the line break on split bar line.
Or, instead of split you can also just remove 1 beat from the last measure of the line using CTRL DEL, and remove 3 beats of the next ones also using CTRL DEL.
Variant 1:
Write the first and last measures in 4/4. You will then have 3 quarter rests and 1 quarter rest respectively.
Mark only the rests of measure 1 and press Ctrl-Del. Do the same with the rest in the last measure.
You will get a small light gray minus sign, which only indicates that the measure is shorter than the time signature says it should be.
Variant 2:
You can also set the measure lengths in the measure properties from nominally 4/4 to currently 1/4 or 3/4. This is best done when there is not yet a note in these measures. It does shorten the measure, but starting from the right side of the measure and would then delete a note that was written on beat 4. But it works directly if you've written the note in the pickup measure on beat 1.
