Play last time
I'm not sure if this feature is in the current version. I cannot seem to find it (please tell me if it is).
I would like to see a "play last time" kind of thing where we we have a vamp, for example, of the first two bars of a piece, having set the repeat to play, say, four times, and the voice starts singing on the last time through.
(hope you get what I mean)

It's hardly to understand what you mean. I think you should study handbook about repeats and voltas.

(I cannot seem to attach a file, don't know why?) I want to have a 2 bar vamp at the start which also has the voice part within it. I do not want to use any voltas as it makes the music clearer to read. I want to set it so the vamp accompaniment plays four times and the voice plays on the last time through. (hope this makes sense now)
Set the repeat to play the two-bar vamp 3 times, followed by the 2 bars containing the voice part.
This will produce correct playback in MuseScore.
For printed scores, written instructions like: "Play 4 times, vocals enter on last" can be added to the vamp without notating those two extra bars for the vocalist.
This type of "versioning" of repeats, whether for lyrics, instrument changes, and even 8va playback, has been requested before.

Except for using Voltas there's no such feature that gets the playback right.
Use a staff text and your musicians will get it right.
