Incomplete measure: Full score, measure 22, staff 1. Found: 0/1. Expected: 4/4.
Hi, I'm getting this error below and I'm not sure what is happening. I'm trying to change a note in bar 22 into an 8th note instead of 16th and it keeps on shutting down MuseScore. It's the same way I've been keying in note values for years but this is the first time this has happening. I have JUST updated to the latest version of MS4 and I am now encountering this.

In your attachment, if you show measure numbers above each measure (use Format > Style > Measure numbers) you will see that the measures get all screwy (or just count them while comparing to the numbers already shown).
The screwy measures were unselectable so I inserted a "good" measure both before and after the screwy measures. The "good" measures allowed me to select the whole lot and Ctrl+Del to get rid of them. I then replaced with all "good" measures.
Have a look at this:

Funny enough there is no measure 22, 23, 26, 31
But one of the tricks from How to fix a score that contains corruptions worked... (the 2nd bullit under 4.)
