MuseScore 4.1.1-232071203; Buffersettings 1024, 2048, 4096 fixed; Intended ?
Hi.
I notice that at least in my dry setup there are only three buffersizes presented to set, namely
1024
2048
4096
Is this intended ? Shouldn't we be able to start at some 32 samples ? Or maybe setting manually a buffersize as implemented in some audio applications ?
Thanks for info.
macOS macOS 13.5 (22G74); M1Max ?

Shouldn't it show the buffersizes, which are supported by the soundcard - if any? ...What is more: Before that we would need be able to select the API (the audio driver), which is also not possible but labeled "P2" on github fortunately.
Buffer size is not dependent on your sound card (nor influences its working), but it's a setting for MuseScore's rendering. In the past, lower buffer sizes were causing big trouble, so we removed them from the list; but perhaps nowadays we have optimised the playback engine enough to be able to re-enable them, or at least a bit lower than what we offer now.
