How to create Ossia?
Hi, just wondering how do I create a Ossia in MuseScore 4? Oh, and the Ossia has to be completely silent.

I created the ossia stave, no worries. It is for the first two bars of the piece. BUT ALL the staves are now spaced widely apart to accommodate the (invisible) ossia stave.
The Manual says how to increase the distance between staves, but I can find nothing that says how to decrease the distance.
Any ideas?

Hello. Have you managed to solve the problem with the distance between the staves?

'Hide empty staves within system' is the solution.

Thank you. It turned out to be easier than I thought.

I followed these instructions and it worked to a point. In the Master score it looks OK (a bit extended in the stave spacing, but OK). However, when I try to make it a part it doesn't show both trumpets on the same page but rather as separate files/ pages...
How do I get them to show in the same 'part' like a proper ossia before I print it off?
Thanks in advance.

I was creating an additional stave to get ossia in the part. In my case, it worked, although there were a lot of problems. especially with the synchronization of elements between the score and the parts.
