Make text of crescendo line invisible
I want to make the dashed line in the dynamic "cresc." invisible, as this is how standard sheet music looks like. Is there a method to do this using the guidebook/canonically, or is the only way to solve this to add text for "cresc." and the dynamic and making that invisible?

The dotted line serves the same purpose as a hairpin. It shows where the cresc ends. If you don't want the line, select the end of it and drag the box to the left until it reaches the word.
Select the cresc. line. In Properties > Crescendo > Style untick 'Show line'.
PS: to make the text 'cresc' invisible: Properties > Crescendo > Text: delete contents of 'Beginning text'

You can do that, of course.
Could it be that whoever set up this score wanted those lines?
