Tenor line notes have gone up an octave when I imploded

Attached score of O Lord MY God.
I am trying to merge men & women voices to make more room on the page
1. I imploded S&A plus T&B but my Tenor notes went up 5 notes (a to f)
2. I cannot get rid of the Alto and Bass vacant lines.
Can you help please
