MS Basic Dyanmic/volume Issues
I'm not sure if this started with 4.0 or a later update, but MS basic piano playback of dynamics seems to be all messed up. Certain crescendos will kind of do a random fluctuation of volume and even going from one dynamic to another is very un-smooth. This was not an issue in previous versions. Uploaded is an example of what I'm talking about: Listen to measure 19 with the "Cresc." Does that sound "correct" to you? It's gotten to the point where I have to use MuseScore 3 to export audio. This same issue doesn't seem to happen with Muse Keys although I'm not 100% on that.
I believe this score was originally created with version 3 - is that the issue? Pretty frustrating that I'd have to re-engrave from scratch but if it helps playback I don't have a choice.

I'm having serious problems with volume also. The pieces that worked fine in v.3 do not work. Placing the volume sign in the bar to "remind" the software does not work every time either.
I'm devastated.
I wish, I never deleted v.3...
There are huge improvements in the new release which I love. However, this basic notation is a serious software glitch.

There was no need to delete v.3. It can happily coexist with v.4 on your PC. You can download it from here.

Follow the link for "Older versions" under the heading for your OS.
Or you can try Jojo's updated v.3 which is discussed here https://musescore.org/en/node/347226
