Hiding Specific Staves

Hi, I'm wondering if I can hide staves specifically in one area of my score for different instruments. I'm writing a piano concerto and I'm currently working on the cadenza, and I'm wondering if there's a way to hide the orchestra parts while the piano is playing so that it's not just one line per page and easier to read. I know about the "hide all staves when empty" option (or whatever it is), but the problem is that means different things throughout the score will get hidden earlier in different places, and I don't know if I necessarily want that. Anybody know what to do or if this is possible?
