MIDI Import Issues with MuseScore 4
Hello everyone,
I’ve recently encountered an issue with importing MIDI files into MuseScore 4. When I import a MIDI file from a piano piece, instead of displaying one treble clef and one bass clef, MuseScore 4 splits it into two treble clefs for one piano part and two bass clefs for another piano part, both played at the same time.
In previous versions of MuseScore, there was a MIDI import panel where you could adjust settings like “Split staff”. However, according to the [MuseScore 4 Handbook], this feature is not currently implemented in MuseScore 4.
I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue and if there are any workarounds or solutions available. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

In MS3 there was a MIDI Import Panel where you could control various parameters.
For MS4, you will have to wait for this re-implementation to be released:
