Construct a Musescore by singing the lyrics first
I have several "home grown" songs that I sing to my children and grandchildren. I would like to initiate the music score by singing it first, thing set out to edit and add more instruments.

By "singing the lyrics first" and then setting out to "add more instruments" is your end goal to produce an audio recording?
MuseScore is a music notation score writer. It cannot "listen" to your singing and identify the pitches. It cannot "understand" your sung lyrics as language and recognize the words.
