Add Rhythmic Notation above staff in MS4
I am working on a score and there are chord hits i want to notate on top of the measure for the rhythm section to read. I tried toggle rhythmic slash notation, but that gets rid of the melody i have written and replaces it with slashes, not what i want. A lot of forum posts on here say to use voice 3, but ms4 doesn't give me that option, only 2 voices.
Id like to add that i am quite frustrated with ms4. While it fixed some issues i had with ms3, it made a lot of problems on top of that. namely...
- My scores don't play back if they are open for too long, the playback just glitches and goes over my score without any audio at a tempo far faster than i input.
- My scores crash far more often.
- I have to open a new instance of ms4 if i want to look at more than one score.
- I can't open a ms4 score in ms3 if i finally get sick of it and have to use the old software.
but nevermind all of that, im just venting. if you can help me notate a rhythm above the staff in ms4 i will be very grateful!!!
Thanks,
nate

MS4 still gives you the option of using voices 3 and 4. But the toolbar buttons are not visible by default.
