cascara timbales paila
Hi. I'm looking for a sound close to the paila on timbales to play a cascará rhythm. I want to make a sound file for students to play along with other instruments. Thanks for any help.

For non-percussionists like myself, here is what Wikipedia has to say about Timbales:
Timbales or pailas are shallow single-headed drums with metal casing. They are shallower than single-headed tom-toms and usually tuned much higher, especially for their size. They were developed as an alternative to classical timpani in Cuba in the early 20th century and later spread across Latin America and the United States.

Cascara usually refers to the rhythm played with sticks on the side of the timbales.
