How can I tie notes together? When I hit "T" or the tie button the whole system crashes. I've tried this when the cursor highlights the note tied from as well as the note tied to.

Do not select both the starting note and the ending note of the tie. Just select the starting note, then press T.
That should not crash though, better report this on GitHub
