Drumset notes have different sound

Hi All,

I like to input notes using midi, makes it a bit faster to transcribe.
I've changed every input note so that the drumset would start at 'c2', but, here's the thing;
every note I changed to what makes it more easy for me now sounds just like before...

For instance: I wanted to have c2 as hihat but this sounds like a bassdrum, d2 as bassdrum sounds like a snare..

Can I change the sound of these notes to the sound I desire?
