Play invisible instruments in Musescore 4?
I am a chorister and have downloaded some scores (for Dvorak's Stabat Mater) from musescore.com which I am using to practice my part. As seen in the Mixer the files have a part for each voice (SATB plus sometimes one or more of SATB for the soloists) and a piano part.
The scores are in Musescore 3 format. If I open them in 3 then I can play them satisfactorily. I can hear the voice parts AND the piano part even though I can find no way to make the stave for the piano part visible on the score. This not a deal breaker as the main thing is that the piano part is played, but it would be nice to have the choice to render it on the score, or not, as I like.
If I open the scores in version 4 the situation is different. Now I can choose to make the piano stave visible, or not, on the score by clicking on the eye in the Instrument panel. Good. However, unless the score is visible it is NOT played, which is not so good as this means I must always have it visible as I do need always to hear it.
Is there any way in Musescore 4 to NOT have the piano stave shown but to still have it played?
Thanks in advance!

Well, you could hide the staves I the instrument panel instead of the instrument. Since the instrument is one track, this would keep the instrument “visible”, while its staves aren’t. No formatting issues, I think.
Hide the staves, not the instruments
In the instruments tab, select the arrow next to the Eye for the piano. Another eye opens below the first. Close that second eye. The piano part will be heard but not seen.

Excellent! Thank you for spelling it out for me :-)
I confirm, this works as you see on the screenshot I added. Still, it would be much faster and intuitive to allow unmuting in the mixer regardless of the visibility of the staff or instrument
